Full-stack web, WebVR and media engineer
PanoMoments are a new living photo format designed for VR. We’re currently participating in the Boost VC accelerator program in San Mateo, CA and are looking for a senior full-stack engineer with WebVR, video streaming, and React.js experience to help build the playback technology that powers the living photo format of the future.
If you are passionate about VR, media streaming, and obsessed about performance, then we should be talking. You will be the primary owner of the technology stack, architect future versions of the viewer, and be responsible for building out an engineering team.
Requirements:
- Experience with Three.js, WebGL, and WebVR/XR
- React.js and Redux experience
- Experience with video streaming technologies (HLS, MSE) and codecs such as H.264/5 and VP8/9.
- Good communication skills, and able to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions.
- 4+ years of professional software development or equivalent expertise.
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Rails
- MongoDB
- Unity
- Android and iOS app development
- GPU video decoding
- Building cross-platform libraries / SDKs
- HTTP streaming technologies and network protocols
Compensation structure and location:
- This role would start off on a contract basis and hopefully turn into either a full-time role with early-stage equity or possibly a co-founding partnership.
- The company is based in NYC but we're currently working out of the Boost VC offices through May 2018 and are considering a permanent move to the West coast. We'd prefer someone local to the Bay area, but are open to remote work for the right person.
